In my mind, the cinematographer should be the director’s closest, most trusted collaborator. Films are elevated when the creative core works frictionlessly to refine each moment and share ideas.

Every time I work with a new director, we first spend time to establish trust, develop a shared vocabulary, and discover the visuals of the project together. Putting the focus on the artistic relationship gives the best results and often leads to collaborations on other projects down the line.
